The Oakman Group Inc. “The Oakman Group” recognizes the importance of privacy and the sensitivity of personal information. We are committed to protecting any personal information we hold. The Privacy policy was developed to comply with two federal privacy laws, the Privacy Act and the Personal Information Protection and Electronics Document Act. The Oakman Group Inc. will give individuals the right to see and ask for corrections to information that may have been collected about them.

Whereas The Oakman Group Inc.is concerned about protection of the personal information of its employees, clients, vendors, and other of its commercial contractors, affiliates or agents, The Oakman Group Inc. will hereby execute and put into force these policies and its “personal information protection and privacy code”. The Oakman Group Inc. may from time to time and at its discretion amend these policies and/or adopt additional measures for the protection of personal information.
The Oakman Group collects personal information from our clients to provide legal and financial services to you in accordance with the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. The Oakman Group Inc. may collect, use or disclose personal information, and it shall do so only in accordance with the policies and principles as established and set out herein, and only for purposes that “a reasonable person” would consider appropriate in the circumstances, or are required by law. We may on occasion obtain information about you from other sources; your insurance company, banking institution, employer, accountant or other consultants retained by you to assist you with legal or financial matters
The Oakman Group Inc. protects your privacy. We have in place strict policies and procedures to keep private the personal information of individuals.. The Oakman Group Inc. will only share such personal information with its affiliates, clients, and other third parties with whom or which it conducts business, and in other ways permitted by law. The only Oakman Group employees having access to personal information of individuals are those who require it to conduct business, or to provide clients and/or employees with products or services.

The information collected, stored used or disclosed by The Oakman Group may contain public and non-public information. The Oakman Group obtains the information from, through or with various sources such as application and consent forms. The information primarily includes financial information, however may include personal history.
The Oakman Group will require all of its employees and affiliates with which it has agreements to comply with strict policies to protect the privacy of personal information. Any information provided by The Oakman Group may only be used for the purposes of which it was intended, whether originally or by amendment, or as permitted by law. The Oakman Group may disclose information to third parties as allowed or mandated by law such as responses to subpoenas or court orders, or to prevent fraud, or to comply with an inquiry by a government agency or regulator, or creditor.
The Oakman Group Inc. will not share personal information with outside marketing agents.
The Oakman Group’s treatment and protection of personal information goes beyond its relationship with its clients and employees. Should the relationship with a client, employee or vendor end, The Oakman Group Inc. will not share or disclose the information to third parties without consent except as law permits or compels.
Our website (www.oakmangroup.com) contains links to other sites which are not governed by this privacy policy. In the continuing development of our website we may provide aggregated information to third parties, but these statistics do not contain any identifiable personal information.
